The Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Resort in the Dominican Republic has introduced a new fully kosher kitchen, two kosher restaurants with buffet and a la carte menus, and an orthodox synagogue and services for Jewish vacationers.
The Puerto Plata resort's kosher program will be overseen by a rabbi following the Kashruth Jewish Dietary Law for Glatt kosher food, Chalav Yisroel and Pas Yisroel, and their restaurants will offer a complement of Sephardic, Ashkenazi, Middle Eastern, and international food.
"We are pleased to be ... reaching out to this specialized group of travelers," said Fadi Hamad, corporate director of food and beverage for the resort. "We are one of the few resorts in the Caribbean to actually provide a kosher vacation experience all year round."
