As of 8:30 a.m. tennis players from 25 nations will parade in the central court to inaugurate the event for 14 year olds, announced Tennis Federation (Fedotenis) president Persio Maldonado, who said the competition will last until March 19.
He said the WJTC matches will start 9 a.m. every day and the entrance is free. “There’ll be around 37 teams from more than 20 countries competing during one week in Dominican Republic.”
Maldonado said the classifying team will travel to play qualifiers in Boca Raton, Florida in the academy of the tennis great Chris Evert, and will play against its par from Mexico, United States and Canada
He added that Dominican Republic classified for the match in Boca Raton in 2009, with Juan Bisono, Victor Blanco and Peter Beltrán.
