According to reports, the tobacco major plans to launch Cigar Republic in other key metros in future, apart from the capital as part of its plans to strengthen its presence in the premium tobacco segment.
The store, located at ITC Maurya Hotel, will also house a library showcasing extensive literature on cigars and objects of interest to cigar connoisseurs reports stated.
The 'Armenteros' range of handrolled cigars which are being sourced from the Dominican Republic and manufactured at La Aurora - one of the oldest cigar companies in the world – was introduced in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata last year, reports further stated, adding that the prices for the pack would range from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 10,000 depending on the cigar sizes.
